you are kidding me!... is that what it means? thanks so much... i honestly did not know that... are you telling me that the title of this song is "painful hobby"? i got to find the lyrics for this song and read it... or maybe "masochism" is a better title? was this song written by a vietnamese or is this "nhạc ngoại quốc"?
Well to tell you the truth.. I am not even sure because I came to the USA in 1976 when I was very young. My VN I learn mostly from songs so I am not 100% sure. ..I am not really the authority of VN language. :)
Có một bài nhạc dịch sang lời Việt mang tựa "Thú Đau Thương" (Speak softly Love), a them song in The Godfather. Thấy cái tựa đề cũng hay hay nên mọi người hay dùng diễn tả một trạng thái hơi "wild" (masochism) :-))
anh T... thanks so much for the explanation... i know "Speak Softly Love" very well... however, i would have never connected "Thú Đau Thương" with it by just reading the titles... my vietnamese is limited but why don't they titled it something like "Lời Yêu Thì Thầm"?
this is so coincidental... 2 weeks ago a friend mentioned that his favorite poet is Lưu Trọng Lư, and i never of him before... my friend quoted another poem, definitely not this one... couldn't forget the name because the last and first sounds almost the same... thanks for posting this poem... so sad... love it.. :-)
